Missions Short-Term Mission Reports Bohol 2024
RICK CALLO: This year’s mission trip was challenging, but I give all the glory to God who is Sovereign, for He is faithful to those who trust in Him. On the Bohol Mission, it was the power of the Holy Spirit that is working in us and through us that kept the team going. The challenges we faced, even before we departed; health emergency, sickness, heat, humidity or rain, didn’t hinder us but instead, we sought God through deep worship and intimacy with Him. And in humility and submission, God showed up, for His Kingdom and His glory to be revealed, many came to receive Him.
“Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.” —Hebrews 11:6
LYNNELLE CALLO: I didn’t expect to be back in Bohol for this year’s mission trip. I want to thank and praise God for having a third year there. We went to the town of Dauis one morning, and there was this lady who babbles when she talks. So we prayed for her tongue to get loosened. I appreciate how God had us to go with Ate Fe to Dauis and pray for this lady to witness the miracles that He has been doing through us and how He used us to get her to speak properly. That moment was such a blessing. I also pray that our church family will prosper and be fruitful in their walk with God as they continue to mature in their faith. They are always in my prayers.
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.” —Proverbs 11:30
WILL VALDEZ: We presented ourselves as missionaries from Hawaii to a man who was cleaning his yard. He was very standoffish and acted like he was too busy to be bothered. As we pressed in and shared God’s love and truth, he opened up and admitted to walking away from God as a Catholic. With an open heart he received Jesus as his Savior. On this day, all of heaven rejoiced! Hallelujah!
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” —John 3:16
KEAKA GUSMAN: During this outreach, many people both children and adults received salvation. We were led by the Spirit to pray a blessing over everyone. Most prayer requests were for healing and family. God’s power and anointing moved in and through each one of us. Praise the Lord!
“God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect.” —2 Samuel 22:33 NKJV
MACY MASSEY: God is faithful through the generations! We are just one of many teams sent to Bohol over the decades since the church planting team in 2007! Thank you all for participating in God’s plan for Bohol! As the team focused on prayer and worship, setting our hearts on Jesus, prayers for evangelism, two outreaches, follow-up visits, healing, deliverance, Net Groups, leadership connect meetings, Friday prayer nights, teaching and preaching were answered repeatedly. Praise the Lord Jesus!
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name! For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.” —Psalm 100:4–5
