Dear Ps. & Sis. Ko,
Sis. Ko is truly God’s gift of music to you, Ps, but God has also anointed you with this special gift. During my darkest hours, your anointed singing in the middle of a sermon would bring so much comfort to my heart. Please continue singing.
Congratulations and thank you for being my loving, caring Pastors.
Love,
Marge Tam

First Assembly of God

Congratulations

Pastor Ko and Sister Ko for your faithfulness and for selflessly serving God in 40 years of ministry.

I cannot believe how time has flown by when I first started attending First Assembly of God back in 1992. Back then Pastor Ko & Sister Ko under the Leadership of Pastor Sapp lead the young adults ministry called Island Christian Singles. In the mid 90’s I invited my friend and co-worker Dora whom had just moved to Hawaii from the Philippines to First Assembly of God. My friend Dora that I had invited to church back in 1995 is now my best friend and the one I call my wife.

Pastor Ko and Sister Ko thank you for fulfilling God’s calling on your lives. Because of your love, sacrifice, and dedication to God you have not only touched lives here in Hawaii and the US, but you have also touched lives across other nations.

Thank you for your prayers for the church body and us included. Sister Ko, thank you for visiting me (Dora) at home after my surgery and for praying for me while I was recovering. Your love, support, and prayers helped me during this challenging time in my life.

Because of your love for God you have discipled, encouraged, and guided the church body to get out our comfort zone and to get involved in church. Dora and I were one of those that would come faithfully every Sunday but not get involved in church . With your continued love, compassion, and support towards us, you never gave up on us. With the grace of God we finally decided to get out of our comfort zone and to get involved in different parts of the church at First Assembly of God for the Glory of God.

Through the years, under the Leadership of Pastor Ko and Sister Ko we were able to get out our comfort zone and participated in ICS (Island Christian Singles), CDT (Christian Discipleship Training), FAOG men’s basketball, FAOG women’s softball, Men’s and Women’s Encounters, Net Group/Connect Group, Convoy of Hope, The Singing Christmas Tree, Hallelujah Night, many other productions, community services, and activities. We remember when Sister Ko kept on finding Dora and myself to see if we got involved in any ministry yet. It’s because of Sister Ko’s love and encouragement we finally decided volunteer and join the greeting ministry which we have been a apart of for about 16 years now.

If it wasn’t for Pastor Ko and Sister Ko, we wouldn’t have been challenged to get out of our comfort zone and to follow God’s calling for our lives. Pastor Ko and Sister Ko ❤️ God Bless both of you, your families, and your ministry. May he continue to protect you, provide for you, and guide you in all of the days if your life until Jesus returns. Thank you for being there for us and our family. We love you both from Jarrett and Dora Tambalo, and the Tambalo Ohana.

On behalf of the greeting ministry, thank you for your love, support, guidance, and leadership. We love you and we will continue to pray for all of God’s blessings to pour out on you, your family, and your ministry.

“Congratulations Pastor and Sister Ko, for reaching this milestone achievement in service to the Body of Christ! Since being a ‘spiritual mom and dad’ to me in our early days of ICS-Singles Ministry, you’ve continued being an example of His Light, Hope and Love in these challenging times we live in.
Thank you so much for all your prayers and encouragement throughout the years! May the Good Lord continue to Guide, Protect and Empower you both through the next journey with Him. To God be the Glory! Love you both!

I can remember being invited to Red Hill and how that was the providential hand of God in brining the woman who is now my wife into my life. I can recall you briefly taking on the Island Christian Singles ministry which was soon turned over to Pastor Cwah and another man, I think his first name was Don or Richard? I remember doing counciling long distance while I was stationed in Belgium, and a few in person sessions in your office. I can still remember standing with you outside the prayer room and assuring me that everything will be fine on our wedding day now more than 23 years ago. I remember you and sister Sharon coming pray over Jana when she gave birth to Shane and almost died from the complications. I can also remember the UH games we went to with the men’s ministry as well. Lastly, it has been an honor to watch you grow as a leader and man of God and witness how your faith has grown and impacted thousands of people worldwide

Congratulations once again.

Blessings & Aloha,
